In the fall I will be attending Ithaca College in upstate New York. Here I will be studying in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. I plan to major in communications and minor in environmental studies. I will then use my skills in writing and design to communicate the importance of maintaining a sustainable environment.

I became interested in communications and design through creative writing and graphic arts courses in high school. An independent study in Environmental Politics sparked my interest in global warming and its effects on our Earth. It is important to sustain our environment so future generations can live on this Earth.

Through the Ithaca College Environmental Society, I will promote environmental awareness and responsibility on the campus through education, activism, and stewardship, while reaching out both within the campus and to the larger community. I hope to hone my skills to become well-rounded writer, photographer, and environmental advocate. The Roy H. Park School of Communications will provide me with the networking and communication skills to help me to reach my goal of educating the public about the necessity of maintaining a sustainable environment.
